March 7, 2017
Last week the numbers came in from the Realtors Association of Edmonton for the latest Real Estate Statistics for February, 2017.
Here is a recap of the last month:
Single family homes saw an increase in average price from January and also from this time last year.
Both condo and duplexes saw a decrease in average price from last month, as well as last February.
Inventory of new listings has decreased from last year of February 2016, and increased over the last month from January 2017.
The average days on market for all residential types has increased from this time in 2016.
The most expensive condo in Edmonton sold for over half a million dollars last month; although it looks like the majority of condo sales were under $250,000. There is also an increased demand for semi-attached homes, such as townhomes and duplexes in the Edmonton area.
As we move towards spring are you thinking of selling? With the decrease in inventory this would be a great time to get your home on the market and for a competitive price before the "rush". Contact me if you have any questions or want to learn more. I make myself available at all times.
